To bee or not to be…

The best thing to happen in Hermanus.

The best thing to happen in Hermanus.

The little local honey shop in Mitchell Street, really is a treasure trove for those of us who love honey. Imagine my delight when I discovered that the raw fynbos honey I used to trek all the way out to Bird Lane for, is supplied by the old uncle, to the honey shop at the same price also. *double points*

Honey on tap.

What I really love about this shop is that you can bring your own jar to be filled from any of the honey on tap. You also have a choice of raw or choice honey. I loved the Strandveld honey from coastal dune hives. My other favorites are the Eucalyptus and Fynbos honey.

Local is lekker...

Do you know that if you eat local honey often you are less likely to react to allergens from the local pollen in the air. *fun fact*

I loved the little honey pots, beeswax polish and candles.
